Pandemic is a community steel drum band that rehearses once a week for an hour. The group is comprised of middle and high school kids with an interest in learning and performing on traditional steel drums. Pandemic performs year round at downtown events, private events, school festivals, and much more. This group was formed 6 years ago by director Rick Cline in an effort to educate our communities youth about simply one of the many exotic areas of percussion. Many of Pandemic's players go onto pursue steel drums professionally and/or play with larger steel drum groups such as the ASU Steely Pan Band, and Pan Jive Steel Drum Band.
